Tributes are still pouring in for SABC’s Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere, who died in a car accident on Saturday morning.
His manager Lorraine Meizel says, “He was going places. He was the most amazing human being; gentle, kind, loving, honest and hardworking. He was everything; he was the most extraordinary person.”
It is believed that Mhere was en route to OR Tambo International Airport, to attend the J&B Met taking place in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.
His meaningful contribution to the show will remain and continue to inspire young people.
SABC’s Spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago, in a statement says the “country fell in love with the ever energetic Mhere when he made his debut on SABC’s Top Billing Presenter search in 2010.”
“His meaningful contribution to the show will remain and continue to inspire young people who looked up to him as a presenter and a public figure.” Kganyago says Mhere won the hearts of the old and young people alike.
Lorna Lukhele, Mhere’s co-presenter on Top Billing took to instagram to express her loss when she heard the news.
